- Hard reset, courtesy Mobile Gadget News: with the Voq turned off, open the QWERTY keyboard and hold down both the space bar and the on button. You should see a blue screen "Factory Reset" and "Erasing Flash" messages. Wait a minute or two for the process to finish, and your Voq's fresh as a daisy.
- Cingular GPRS Data Settings, courtesy Voq: create new GPRS Connection with the following settings. Access Point => WAP.CINGULAR, Username => WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM, Password => CINGULAR1 . Note-these are the MEdia settings, any other GPRS data account may vary.

Note: more for my own edification than anything, although if you can make use of it feel free to help yourself and/or offer your own tips. I'll update this posting as required.

I love my Voq...but the reception is terrible-so bad in fact it is unusable. I bought it unlocked and have cingular as my provider. I don't know if the reception problem is the voq, or the way it works with cingular, although previous other phones with cingular have worked fine. But the Voq constantly drops calls, audio is usually garbled and buzzy, and can't get a signal in areas while my other phones can.
I can't find any help with this problem on the net, and of course cingular is no help. Is there some way to configure the phone that could help or eliminate this problem?

Sounds as though you've already done this, but just in case try your SIM card in another phone in the same place(s) you're getting bad results with your Voq. Preferably around the same time as you notice bad reception in the Voq, e.g. swap out phones as soon as you notice it. Idea here is to make sure it's the Voq and not some weird local network problem. Sounds silly but it happens!
The next thing to look at is what network the Voq is connecting to. Around my neck of the woods, I sometimes come across towers from the old AT&T Wireless, and the Voq would sometimes fetch a connection from them instead of Cingular towers. It'd work, but the signal quality would be terrible. You can fiddle with the network settings to make sure you're getting the right network.
Finally a question-are you able to get GPRS with your Voq? Let me know and good luck!
